I am extending the pre reg closing date mostly because it took so long to post the art for you folks and also i wanna keep things as cheap as possible for you folks. so pre reg will be extended till next wed the 14th.

dang we tested the cams in the shop tonight and they are nice! really solid resolution and even sound. with a 2mg card we can record about 100 min. so more than enough for one lap! They looked good in a low light setting also. im gonna do a run with it at theo at night and a day run at the first thur night buck hill race. i think i can get some of the vid up on the blog shortly after.

Got our feet on the ground. stand!

I wish it were riding, but the next best thing was clunken around memorial park and cleaning some of the leaves off the course and getting a good look at what this race will be like. Now you know i like to spice things up so all i will say is there will be multiple(3 so far) things i have planned already to mix it up. Dont worry it wont hurt! Maybe a little spot the unicorns for fun and prizes.
We were joshen about maken a point system to get people to do the harder aspects of the course. maybe call em pretty pony points to get some hot pink stuffed unicorns. come on you need those for the knick knack shelf.

The trail looks good and i see no problem with it being ready for the 12. We are on trail detail next saturday, before we descend on iola to show the wors laddies some racen.

The lap length seems to be coming in around 7miles. pretty traditional for those that know the course. i talked to jason about a few simple trail cutting ideas we could do now and more important long term ones for next years race. Which i hope to open up to a 12/24.

So we should have the course map up on the blog and the site soon!!

Dont know if i mentioned it in the last chit chat but i have peeps emailing saying there coming up form nebraska now. so i think we have that as the longest point away, unless those monster ridge riders show up. We also have some crazy Iowans journeying to the promise land. So looks like illinois, wisconsin, nebraska, and iowa so far. come on dakotas dont lay down!

I have been waiting for the shirt art to post that i havent put any new info up. so i think i got a few things for ya'll.

The helmet cams from vio sports showed up today. Were gonna be testing them this week and if all goes well!!!! riding lebenon hills this sunday. It looks like enough rain to put the kebosh on that though. ug!

Sunday also looks like trail work up at memorial, and hopefully a start to the course. Ok i gotta get my dancen boots on.

Volunteers are still being accepted and i am contacting people next week to get eveyone up to speed on when and where to be.

Yes, yes i am. Work is work is work is work you get the idea. So im a bit belated on letten ya all know one on one is now on board as a sponsor! Woot!! Tim is adding pics to the web page for one, carz, lights, and shimano today, im told.

Sat down with peter 2 days ago to do a final layout for the shirts. I stepped back from my tragic color taste and decided on the much more acceptable black as a t-shirt color. it'll work better with the predominant use of pink folks, you will likes it long time. Ill have a grip for sale at the shop and at the race price tba, and ill have scans of the art up on the blog and web page as soon as i get em.

Next up the trophy for the race, should be putting time into it this weekend we shall see if i can get some pics up.

charity is go

So the charity for this event is locked in. The American red cross! We wil be giving to the red wing chapter specifically. They try to keep the money in that county, until there is a need to contribute to a large scale disaster like flooding, within Minnesota.
So again this event isnt just about having a bloody good time, but a way to give something back to our greater community and hopefully help some people get back on their feet when they need it!

oh and a few more sponsors have come down the pipe. light n motion lights, shimano, and of my personal fav's of our current sponsors - cars r coffins!

So this that and the other thing will be up on the web site soon! i should be going up either this weekend but most likely the next to work with porter and jason on the trails and to get a ruff idea of course layout.

I really gotta find the best spot for the tiger pit jump. I mean with only one ya gotta make it count!

Im getten a little off topic, again! Well during our spanking of calgary i have finalized on the trophy for the race.

I want something that will last like this race so why not a stanley cup style trophy. Itll be big all the winnas will hoist it up for a pic, and after the race im gonna get all the top placers engraved on the cup!

I wont say what it will look like until i can take some pics but i think i have a pretty sweet idea.

Ive already been tipped off the address isnt exactly right so Im on it, also we will have a course up for you in a few weeks!

So i got the green light for use of two vio sport camera units. We will officially have race footage lap by lap to play on the big screen while we all hang out in the start finish area! After its all said and done we will have a movie made with the on bike and walk around footage.

the most exciting sponsor could be viosports makers of helmet cams. we would be using them on the laps and playing back peoples lap footage on our projector when we dont have the lap spreadsheet up. this is gonna be wicked cool watchen some nice diggers and such!
